                                    Nora Ephron

An American writer, journalist, filmmaker, Nora Ephron was born on 19 May 1941. She won a BAFTA award for Best Original Screenplay. She is famous for her work with Silkwood, Sleepless in Seattle, Julie & Julia and When Harry Met Sally.


She received the " Women n Film Cryslas Award" in 1994. 

She died on 26th June 2012 from pneumonia.

Her last book was " I Remember Nothing (2010)" and she left the clue that something is not good inside her. There are so many people who appreciate her great work. 

The Tribeca Film Festival Started giving the Nora Ephron Prize of $25000 to a female writer or filmmaker " with a distinctive voice". The first Nora Ephron Prize was awarded to Meera Menon in 2013 for her film Farah Goes Bang.
